We all want to have luscious and healthy locks! Is dry hair stopping you from having them? Don’t worry!

Follow these simple tips that will help you get rid of dry hair

  1. Wash less

Don’t wash your hair very often, as washing it too much will deplete it off the natural oils of your hair. Also use a mild shampoo that suits your hair type.

  1. Condition well

Condition your hair every time you shampoo it. Apply conditioner only on the length of your hair, leave it on for a few minutes and then wash it off.

Conditioning the hair is known to seal the cuticles.

  1. Use a wide-toothed comb

Use a wide-toothed comb instead of a brush as it is known to be gentler on the hair, and thus can prevent breakage specially since dry hair is already weak.

  1. Avoid hot water

Even though we all love hot water baths, they have an adverse impact on the hair. Hot water is known make the hair more dry that it already is. Try using lukewarm water, which is known to be the best for dry hair.

  1. Oiling

Oil your hair often. A good oil massage will help to open the pores, which stimulate hair growth and also help in making the dry hair moisturized.

  1. Fruits & Vegetables

Have a healthy diet, with lots of green vegetables and many fruits. This will not only help your hair but your overall body as well.

  1. Let your hair down

Avoid tying your hair too tightly. Keep it open or in a loose ponytail. Tying it tightly pulls the hair, which causes the hair follicles to become weak, and thus can lead to breakage. Every night when you sleep let your hair be open without any rubber bands or clips.
