Don’t we all love the rainy season? Enjoying a hot cup of tea on a rainy day is one of the best feelings ever. The rains make everything around very beautiful.

Once the rains set in it is also important to change your hair care routine. Here is a list of pointers which you should keep in mind to make sure your hair stays healthy during the rainy season.

  1. Rinse hair when you get wet

There may be many occasions during the rainy season where you may get wet even though don’t want to. The rain water is known to make the hair weaker. One solution to this problem is to rinse your hair with lukewarm water every time you get wet. This will ensure that your hair remains healthy.

  1. Don’t comb wet hair

Wet hair is known to be the weakest. When wet hair is combed it makes the hair weaker and thus can lead to breakage. Always wait for your hair to dry before you go ahead and comb it.

Regularly oiling your hair and keeping it overnight is known to be extremely beneficial for the hair. You can wash your hair with a mild shampoo and lukewarm water on the next day. A nice hot oil massage will not only make you feel relaxed, but also take good care of your hair during the monsoons.

  1. Always condition your hair

Condition your hair every time you shampoo. Evenly massage the conditioner on the length of your hair. Let it be for a few minutes, post which you can rinse it off with water. Hair is known to become frizzy, weak and more prone to falling during the monsoons, regularly conditioning it will help to keep it in a good condition.

  1. Limit the use of hair styling products

Hair styling products may help your hair look fabulous for a day but can have an adverse impact on your hair in the long run. Try and stay away from them as much as possible.

  1. Include proteins in your diet

Proteins are one of the most vital nutrients that are known to help in nourishing and enriching the hair. Try and include as many proteins as you can in your diet. Eggs, carrots, whole grains, dark green veggies, kidney beans, nuts and low-fat dairy products are all known to be rich sources of protein.
