It’s that time of the year again! New year, new resolutions. There are so many hair-related resolutions we should be making this year that we believe it deserves its own section, exclusive from the rest of your New Year’s resolutions. Let’s get right down to it.

1. Be Brave: Most, if not all, of us are guilty of being too scared to get that bold new hair colour or hair cut that we have been dying to try out. Change that this year. Promise yourself that you will be braver this year and do what feels right.

2. Restock & Upgrade: Stop using products with expired dates or ones that are not doing anything for you. Your hair is one of your most important assets – respect it! This year, promise not to wait until your brush falls apart before you go and buy a new one. A helpful tip: ask for product samples before you invest your hard-earned money on a product that may not suit your hair.

3. Deep Condition: You’ve heard this time and again, but haven’t had the time to actually do it. This year, resolve to take out half an hour every weekend to deep condition your hair. A regular deep conditioning treatment is said to help lock in your hair’s moisture and keep it looking smooth & silky in the long-run.

4. Hair Schedule: This one sounds simple, but once again, our hectic schedules make it difficult to follow the plan. Create a haircare routine and stick to it. Take out your calendar for 2017 and pencil in regular hair cuts, colour appointments and deep conditioning treatments. You don’t need to commit specific dates for the rest of the year, but create a general timeline which will help you remember to set up appointments when the time comes.

Make 2017 a great year for your hair! Follow the above tips for fabulous hair all year round and share your own hair resolutions for 2017.
